Senior System Validation & Verification Engineer

About the role

MultiLane Test Products (MLTP), a Teradyne affiliate, develops high-speed I/O test solutions for the AI and data center equipment market. It is looking for an experienced Senior System Validation & Verification Engineer to define and run system-level validation and verification (V&V) strategies so products meet functional, performance, quality and reliability requirements before release. You will work closely with Software, Firmware, FPGA, Hardware, Systems, Solutions and Deployment teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute system-level validation and verification strategies, methodologies, standards and best practices.
• Work with engineering and product teams to set validation objectives, methodologies and acceptance criteria.
• Develop test plans, test cases, validation procedures and regression test suites.
• Design, develop and maintain validation frameworks, test benches and automated testing solutions.
• Perform functional, integration, performance, reliability and regression testing of complex systems.
• Establish and monitor validation KPIs, quality metrics and release-readiness criteria.
• Analyze test results, lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Maintain test data and databases tracking validation activities, results, defects and quality metrics.
• Generate validation reports and communicate quality status, risks, findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Take part in requirements, architecture, design and technical risk reviews.
• Support complex customer escalations and contribute to product documentation, validation reports, technical documentation and datasheets.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote strong validation practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in system validation and verification, test engineering, quality engineering or a related role.
• Proven experience validating complex systems combining hardware, software, firmware and FPGA components.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, debugging tools and measurement systems.
• Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with high-speed digital, RF, communications, instrumentation or test and measurement products is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Experience with Python, C/C++, scripting and/or test automation frameworks.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decisions.
