Production Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

About the role

An experienced and highly organized Production Supervisor is sought to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a food manufacturing facility. The role covers coordination between all production-related departments, from raw material reception and warehouse management through preparation, processing, filling, packaging and labelling. It calls for a hands-on professional with previous experience in a similar position in the food manufacturing industry, able to manage people, optimize production processes and keep operations running efficiently to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities so that operations run smoothly and without interruption.
• Ensure effective coordination and communication between the warehouse, preparation, filling, packaging and labelling departments, and link and synchronize all stages of production so materials, semi-finished and finished goods move efficiently.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials and other production requirements.
• Plan and organize production schedules according to orders, priorities and available resources, and monitor progress to identify and fix bottlenecks.
• Supervise production teams, assign responsibilities and make sure employees follow established procedures.
• Ensure production targets, efficiency, productivity and quality standards are met, and coordinate with the Quality Control team on food safety, hygiene and quality requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance when needed, and keep accurate production records, material consumption reports and daily production reports.
• Identify ways to improve workflow, reduce waste and increase efficiency, and ensure housekeeping and workplace health and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Mandatory previous experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar production management role.
• Proven experience in a food manufacturing or food processing facility; candidates must have hands-on experience supervising an integrated production operation, not just one line or one isolated stage.
• Strong understanding of the stages of food production, from raw material handling to filling, packaging and labelling.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple departments and strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication, planning and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Familiarity with production planning, inventory coordination, quality standards and food safety procedures.
• Operational, hands-on management skills and the ability to see and manage the whole production process.
• Proactive approach to resolving operational issues, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
