Restoration Crew Chief

About the role

Servpro of Wilson County is seeking a Restoration Crew Chief to lead on‑site restoration and mitigation projects. You will guide a crew through water, fire, smoke, and mold remediation, turning chaotic disaster scenes into orderly recovery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of restoration jobs from arrival to final walkthrough, ensuring compliance with SERVPRO® standards.
• Develop and execute effective restoration plans to restore homes and businesses quickly.
• Train, coach, and motivate technicians, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and internal teams, communicating clearly and compassionately.
• Perform hands‑on tasks such as water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke cleanup, and mold remediation.
• Maintain clean, stocked vehicles and equipment; document moisture readings, photos, and job notes accurately.
• Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule and lead crews during after‑hours emergencies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• At least one year of restoration or mitigation experience (preferred).
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in varied environments.

Required skills

• Current IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification.
• IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certification.
• IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) certification.
• IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) certification.
