Note Taker – GBV & PSEA Experience (Consultancy)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Note Takers with a background in Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) to support qualitative research assignments in Beirut, Lebanon. The role involves capturing detailed documentation of discussions, workshops, and interviews for humanitarian projects.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately take notes during Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews, workshops and similar activities.
• Synthesize complex discussions into clear, structured reports highlighting key findings, recommendations and emerging themes.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, informed consent and data‑protection standards throughout the documentation process.
• Deliver high‑quality documentation within tight timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Sciences, Gender Studies or a related field.
• Professional experience in GBV‑related projects or programmes, with demonstrated work on GBV and/or PSEA assignments.
• Hands‑on experience in qualitative data collection methods such as FGDs, KIIs, consultations or workshops.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality, do‑no‑harm and survivor‑centred principles.
• Ability to work professionally with sensitive topics and maintain strict confidentiality.
