About the role
CWB is seeking a Junior Technical Translator to join its patent translation team. The role involves supporting the delivery of high‑quality patent translation services for clients across multiple regions, working under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up on outsourced patent translations to ensure fast and timely turnaround and maintain a calendar of deadlines for all assigned matters.
- Check and review templates, layouts, fonts, scientific terms and their equivalents to comply with formal examination requirements.
- Translate patent‑related documents at any stage of the patent prosecution process.
- Perform any additional tasks required to fulfil the duties defined above.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation.
- Minimum three years of experience as a translator.
- Proficiency in using Trados Studio.
- Technical translation experience is a plus.
- Strong proofreading skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
