Assistant Merchandising Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Merchandising Manager to develop, implement and maintain visual merchandising standards across all store formats. The role focuses on maximizing sales, enhancing the customer experience and ensuring consistent brand presentation through effective space planning and planogram management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain visual merchandising guidelines and ensure consistent execution of brand identity across stores.
• Conduct store audits to assess merchandising quality, product visibility and shopper navigation.
• Supervise creation, implementation and maintenance of planograms, validating layouts based on sales performance and shopper behavior.
• Review shelf capacities, facings and category flow, leading category resets and re‑merchandising projects.
• Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager to optimise space allocation, hot zones, impulse areas and promotional locations.
• Plan and supervise promotional campaigns, seasonal events and supplier activations, ensuring compliance with commercial objectives.
• Coach and train store merchandising teams, coordinate with operations and monitor corrective actions.
• Prepare performance reports, monitor KPIs and present recommendations based on sales and traffic analytics.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in visual merchandising, space planning or retail operations.
• Strong knowledge of retail merchandising principles and shopper behaviour.
• Proven ability to manage planograms and drive category profitability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with planogram software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities.
