Tendering Specialist

About the role

Light Inc., a lighting solutions provider founded in 1981 and authorized agent of Philips Lighting in Lebanon, is hiring a full-time, on-site Tendering Specialist. The specialist manages the full tender cycle, from reviewing tender documents and identifying requirements to preparing competitive proposals and tracking submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, identify requirements and coordinate with internal teams to collect technical and commercial information.
• Prepare competitive proposals, ensure compliance with client specifications and monitor tender deadlines and submissions.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to optimize pricing and terms, and track tender outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and databases, and carry out continuous market and competitor analysis to support strategic bidding.

Required profile

• Experience handling complete tender processes and preparing detailed technical and commercial offers.
• Ability to review tender requirements, evaluate risks and compare prices and costs.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders, clients and proposal presentations.
• Procurement knowledge to support sourcing, supplier negotiation and cost alignment with tender strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related field is beneficial; tendering or contracting experience in electrical engineering or lighting solutions is preferred.
• Accuracy under deadlines, attention to detail and organization.

Required skills

• Tender management and proposal writing.
• Analytical skills and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word); familiarity with ERP or tendering software is an advantage.
