IT Business Analyst

About the role

The IT Business Analyst will support analysis, documentation, and preliminary design of IT systems and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements. The role involves gathering requirements, coordinating stakeholders, and assisting project implementation under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design advanced data structures, files, and logical operations to improve system performance and scalability.
• Conduct detailed testing of new systems and features to ensure functionality, efficiency, and reliability.
• Provide end‑user training, troubleshooting support, and best‑practice guidance.
• Facilitate communication between developers, IT teams, and end‑users, acting as a mediator between technical and non‑technical groups.
• Assign and oversee help‑desk cases, delivering timely resolutions.
• Evaluate technical solutions for suitability, cost‑effectiveness, and scalability, recommending innovative tools.
• Organise and lead project meetings, documenting requirements, actions, and decisions.
• Gather detailed business requirements from users, managers, and suppliers, and collaborate on electronic file exchanges.
• Analyse business processes and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Two to four years of experience in a similar IT Business Analyst role.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Database experience with SQL or Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of T‑SQL querying.
