Demand Planner - Wholesale

About the role

Toters Trade is the wholesale business unit of Toters, serving restaurants, cafés, hotels, supermarkets and other businesses with a one-stop wholesale solution of food, beverages and non-food products. As Demand Planner, you will source, develop and introduce product ranges that meet the needs of the wholesale customer base, ensuring the right products are available at the right time with optimal inventory levels, while working closely with suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Understand B2B customer demand, wholesale market trends and the competitive landscape.
• Place orders to ensure product availability that meets customer demand.
• Make forecasts for product demand to keep inventory levels optimal.
• Analyse sales data and market insights to identify trends and improve forecast accuracy.
• Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
• Foster trust relationships with suppliers to achieve better pricing and quality of service.
• Optimise product assortment and inventory levels to maximise availability and profitability.
• Liaise with Commercial on competitive pricing and promotional activities.
• Work with Warehouse, Sales and Operations teams to ensure product availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or another relevant field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a demand planning or forecasting role.
• Experience in FMCG, wholesale, retail or food distribution is preferred.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
