Cluster Education Senior Specialist – Evidence‑Based Methods Lead

About the role

The Education Senior Specialist will lead the coordination and implementation of War Child’s Evidence‑Based Methods (EBMs) across a multi‑country cluster. Working with partners in Lebanon, Yemen, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, Jordan, oPt, Colombia and other global locations, the specialist ensures that EBM strategies are translated into context‑relevant support that delivers high‑quality impact.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cluster‑level oversight of thematic quality assurance for EBM integration, implementation and scaling.
• Coordinate thematic support provided by specialists, prioritize activities and advise on resource allocation.
• Operationalise thematic and EBM guidance to ensure contextual relevance for countries and partners.
• Lead adaptive learning cycles at cluster level, develop learning agendas and document lessons learned.
• Strengthen organisational and partner capacity through training, mentoring and scalable learning approaches.
• Represent War Child’s EBM portfolio externally, building reputation and contributing to sector policy dialogue.
• Contribute to the overall learning agenda by gathering and sharing partner feedback and experiences.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in education programming within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑country clusters and coordinate diverse partners.
• Strong analytical skills to ensure quality assurance and adaptive learning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Evidence‑Based Methods in education.
• Experience designing and delivering training and mentoring programmes.
• Ability to develop and manage learning agendas and documentation processes.
