Accountant – Retail Pharmacy Operations

About the role

Sami Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Accountant to manage the day‑to‑day accounting functions of its 24/7 retail pharmacy in Beirut. You will work closely with management, purchasing, stock, procurement and operations to ensure accurate financial recording.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily accounting records and financial documentation.
• Monitor supplier accounts, invoices, payments and perform reconciliations.
• Follow up on purchases, expenses, petty cash and supporting documents.
• Execute bank, cash and POS reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Stock and Operations to record transactions correctly.
• Oversee accounts payable and payment schedules.
• Assist with payroll‑related accounting and expense tracking.
• Prepare regular financial and management reports.
• Identify discrepancies, follow up, and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain organized accounting files with proper supporting documentation.
• Support management with financial information for operational and purchasing decisions.
• Help strengthen accounting controls and procedures as the organization grows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience, preferably in retail, pharmacy, FMCG or another inventory‑driven business.
• High level of accuracy, organization and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Strong follow‑up and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems (preferred).
