Odoo Developer (Egypt/Syria - Remote)

About the role

Azkatech, an Odoo Gold partner focused on delivering efficient Odoo implementations, is looking for a mid-level Odoo developer based in Egypt or Syria, working fully remotely. The role suits developers who enjoy solving complex problems, working across the full development lifecycle and contributing to a high-performance team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new Odoo modules and customize existing functionalities.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions within Odoo.
• Design and implement user interfaces with JavaScript (OWL), HTML, CSS and XML.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design to testing and deployment.
• Deploy and configure Odoo instances in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, including performance problems.
• Integrate Odoo with third-party apps (payment gateways, SMS gateways, REST APIs) and optimize solutions.
• Take part in code reviews, share knowledge and help peers improve their Odoo skills.
• Stay up to date with Odoo features and use the Odoo test framework for frontend and backend testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional Odoo development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Experience in accounting, inventory, manufacturing, HR, financial reports and reporting.
• Ability to work independently, manage time and communicate in English.
• Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet workspace and responsiveness during agreed hours.

Required skills

• Strong Python and Odoo expertise (ORM, API).
• XML, JavaScript (OWL), HTML and CSS.
• Relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Git and Odoo test framework.
• Odoo POS development and integration with third-party applications.
