System and Cloud Engineer

About the role

The System & Cloud Engineer manages, monitors and backs up systems in coordination with developers to ensure maximum system availability. You will deliver full monitoring reports for operating systems, maintain security and implement redundancy strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex systems across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
• Lead advanced troubleshooting of kernel-level issues, network bottlenecks and storage optimization.
• Design and implement HA/DR strategies, including failover clusters and multi-region cloud deployments.
• Optimize performance of servers, databases, applications and containers.
• Automate full lifecycle processes such as provisioning, deployment, scaling and patching.
• Review and secure system configurations, permissions and IAM structures.
• Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation) for large deployments.
• Conduct capacity planning for computers, storage, network and cloud services.
• Lead major upgrades such as Kubernetes clusters, OS migrations and cloud expansions.
• Support developers in debugging environment and system-level issues, perform root-cause analysis and write incident reports.
• Train and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in ICT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in system maintenance or a related field.
• Previous experience with Linux and Microsoft servers and services.
• Professional proficiency in the local language and English.

Required skills

• Linux and Windows systems administration.
• Cloud engineering (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD.
• Networking: routing, load balancing, DNS, WAF.
• Cisco certification is a plus.
