Senior AI Engineer

About the role

A team that builds AI systems for companies is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design, build and own the platform that connects people and AI agents to a shared source of truth. The engineer works from the database up, with direct ownership of the architecture from day one alongside the founder.

Key responsibilities

• Design the architecture of platforms where people and AI agents share one source of truth: data model, roles and permissions.
• Build agents that act on real company data, triggered from WhatsApp, email and apps, and not locked to a single model provider.
• Connect to existing tools such as ERPs, CRMs and Google Workspace instead of replacing them.
• Deploy and run everything on self-hosted servers, including security, backups, monitoring and uptime.
• Turn each project into reusable blocks that can be deployed for the next company.
• Work closely with the design team, and sometimes on site with the teams using the solution.

Required profile

• 4+ years building and shipping production software.
• Ability to plan a scalable architecture and explain the trade-offs behind it.
• Strong sense of security: row-level security, access control, secrets and isolation between users and agents.
• Experience deploying and maintaining your own servers and databases, not only managed platforms.
• Experience building LLM features or agents with tool calling used by real users.
• Fluent Arabic and English; based in Lebanon.

• Nice to have: n8n, WhatsApp Cloud API, Odoo or other ERP integrations
