Junior Accountant - Luxury Fashion Retail

About the role

An established company in the luxury fashion retail sector is hiring a motivated, detail-oriented and ambitious Junior Accountant in Beirut. It is an opportunity to develop your skills, gain hands-on experience in a dynamic retail environment and grow within a professional organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and process daily accounting transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely recording and follow-up.
• Prepare financial reconciliations and monitor cash transactions.
• Process supplier invoices, payments and expense reports.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on pending payments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and cost tracking.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, expense monitoring and financial analysis, and coordinate with internal departments for accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Previous experience in fashion or retail accounting is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
