Accounting Specialist

About the role

Broadnet Technologies, a telecommunications and messaging technology provider since 2003, is looking for an Accounting Specialist in Beirut to support its financial operations, keep financial records accurate, manage accounting activities and ensure timely financial reporting across its international operations. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on site, with Saturday work 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities and financial records for international portfolios.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, collections, payment follow-ups and vendor balances.
• Coordinate with vendors on outstanding payments, delivery delays and related discrepancies.
• Perform bank, customer and vendor reconciliations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures.
• Prepare and review trial balances, P&L statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Analyze monthly and annual expenses, identify variances and report to the Finance Manager.
• Prepare regular financial reports, sales reports and commission files.
• Monitor foreign currency transactions and ensure accurate exchange rates.
• Consolidate financial data from international branches for management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, tax regulations and internal financial procedures.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and external audits, and resolve accounting discrepancies with other departments.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Practical experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections, and in monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
• Ability to analyze expenses, financial variances and exchange rate differences.
• Knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations and audit requirements.
• Good organizational, communication and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Bank reconciliations and trial balance preparation.
