Inpatient Billing Officer

About the role

Saint George Medical Center is seeking a detail‑oriented Inpatient Billing Officer to manage billing operations for discharged inpatients, ensuring accurate invoicing and compliance with hospital tariff policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and price final invoices for discharged inpatients according to hospital tariff policies.
• Process cash and third‑party payer invoices and forward finalized documents for settlement.
• Coordinate with physicians, hospital departments, and insurance representatives to obtain approvals and resolve billing issues.
• Verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance of billing documentation with contractual requirements.
• Analyze patient charges to determine insurance coverage and patient responsibility.
• Follow up on adjusted claims and communicate outcomes to patients and payers.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and payment matters.
• Support colleagues in the billing department and perform related administrative duties.

Required profile

• BA degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent, or TS degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Required skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and insurance teams.
• Knowledge of hospital billing systems, tariffs, and insurance processes (preferred).
• Good organization skills.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.
• Computer literate.
