About the role
Join Jackson Hewitt as an entry‑level, seasonal tax preparer. You will guide clients through tax filing, prepare accurate federal and state returns, and support IRS audit inquiries.
Key responsibilities
- Explain tax forms, gather client information, and prepare year‑end, multi‑year, and multi‑state returns.
- File electronically, provide printed copies for client review and signatures, and submit filings to the IRS and state agencies.
Required profile
- Open to candidates with any work experience; entry‑level applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends during tax season.
Required skills
- PTIN certification (required).
- Basic knowledge of federal and state tax forms and IRS audit procedures.
