ICT Technical Assistant – Lebanon South

About the role

The ICT Assistant supports the South Area Office operations by providing efficient ICT services and effective data management. Working under the supervision of the Support Manager, the role ensures compliance with NRC's ICT policies, protection mainstreaming standards and donor requirements, while coordinating multiple ICT support tasks and adapting the workload to operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to all NRC staff and implement ICT standards and policies.
• Install, maintain, monitor and update operating systems, software upgrades, security patches and user applications.
• Support routine resolution of Windows issues, formatting, Okta account setup and NRC application configuration.
• Maintain Internet and network connectivity in offices and centres, and track ICT assets.
• Set up and troubleshoot printers, manage consumables and paper usage, and prepare laptops for new employees.
• Ensure software licensing compliance and work with Logistics on procurement recommendations.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the ICT Coordinator and contribute to short-term ICT support planning.
• Support the M&E team with structured data collection, basic data cleaning and system access issues, in line with data protection standards.
• File support department documents according to NRC policies and perform other tasks requested by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, CCE or a relevant computer domain.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in information technology.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• Good cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Previous experience in complex and volatile contexts.
