Product Owner - B2B SaaS

About the role

Shelvz builds a B2B SaaS platform for the CPG industry that helps brands gather, consolidate and analyse data from many sources to optimise retail execution and field operations. As Product Owner, you will work closely with the Product Manager and Engineering to turn product strategy and customer needs into clear requirements, own the product backlog and define user stories and acceptance criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Own, maintain and prioritise the product backlog so the team works on the most valuable items.
• Translate product goals and customer needs into functional specifications and actionable development tasks.
• Write detailed user stories, workflows and acceptance criteria.
• Act as the main point of contact for the development team and help prioritise features, bug fixes and improvements.
• Prepare backlog items, take part in sprint planning and follow up on blockers.
• Collaborate with QA and Engineering to validate features before release and support releases.
• Work with Sales and Customer Success to understand customer requests and share product updates.
• Gather feedback, maintain product documentation and stay informed about AI, automation and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or in a similar product-focused role, preferably in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
• Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
• Ability to work with Engineering, Design, QA, Product Management and business teams, and to manage several priorities independently.
• Good to have: experience in retail execution, field force management, CPG, FMCG, sales force automation, B2B mobile apps, enterprise customers, APIs, integrations, analytics platforms, AI-powered products, Jira, Confluence and distributed teams.
