Accountant

About the role

The InterContinental Mzaar, a luxury resort in the Lebanese Mountains with 140 rooms and suites and F&B outlets and banquet facilities, is hiring an Accountant. The role supports the department with accounts receivable and billing tasks, and requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the timely billing of accounts
• Maintain a filing system for account receivable records
• Assist in balancing daily transfers to the city ledger and updating the accounts receivable system
• In the absence of the Account Clerk, handle correspondence and queries about city ledger accounts
• Assist in reconciling accounts and credit cards
• Process all invoices and statements
• Respond to guest requests and stay informed about events such as fairs, congresses, meetings and exhibitions
• Build and maintain relationships with other departments and external stakeholders
• Comply with revenue-related requirements under the Internal Control Audit Checklist

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hotels or F&B
• Good working knowledge of English and Arabic
