About the role
As Sales Director for the United States and Canada, you will lead the commercial growth of SCHOTT Pharma’s pharmaceutical packaging portfolio. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and ensuring high‑level customer service across a range of products including ampoules, vials, cartridges and syringes.
Key responsibilities
- Meet and exceed the annual sales budget for the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute a sales plan aligned with marketing strategies to drive revenue and profitability for both Standard and Top Line product families.
- Present detailed product information to clients, highlighting features, benefits and value propositions.
- Manage end‑to‑end pharmaceutical packaging projects, from client need identification to successful completion.
- Provide continuous market, competitor and product updates to Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Production teams.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership, Business Development, Product Management and Customer Service to grow the business.
- Supervise, develop, train and mentor Area Sales Managers and Biotech Specialists.
- Maintain accurate client records in CRM and ensure timely follow‑up.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting and regular performance reporting.
- Support safety, EHS, ISO, cGMP and corporate compliance initiatives.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED (required); BA/BS in Business, Life Sciences or related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within life sciences, pharmaceutical packaging or biotech.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects and achieve sales targets.
- Strong communication, analytical and customer‑focused mindset.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Experience using SAP.
