About the role
The Donor Engagement Advisor will support the growth of People un Need’s programmes by strengthening partnerships with Gulf‑based donors and foundations. Based in the Middle East (preferably Dubai) the role will work closely with regional and country teams to align programme priorities with funding opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with priority Gulf donors, foundations and partners.
- Lead PIN’s external positioning and develop engagement plans for humanitarian and development stakeholders in the Gulf region.
- Identify, track and support the advancement of Gulf donor funding opportunities in coordination with programme teams.
- Monitor donor priorities, trends and partnership modalities, providing intelligence to inform programme development.
- Conceptualise, develop and pitch project ideas that align with donor priorities and organisational objectives.
- Represent PIN in relevant forums, bilateral engagements and donor meetings.
- Act as a liaison between donor intelligence, engagement strategies and PIN’s regional programme priorities.
Required profile
- 7–10+ years of experience in the humanitarian or development sector.
- Proven experience in donor engagement and business development.
- Experience with Gulf donors or non‑traditional funding streams is an asset.
- Strong relationship‑management and communication abilities.
- Capacity to translate programme realities into funding opportunities.
