About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Lebanon is seeking a Legal Assistant on a short‑term consultancy basis. The assignment will support the legal aspects of UNDP’s work in strengthening governance and anti‑corruption reforms during a critical period for the country.

Key responsibilities

Assist the legal team in reviewing and preparing documents related to anti‑corruption initiatives.
Conduct legal research on Lebanese legislation pertinent to public procurement, asset declaration, and whistle‑blower protection.
Support the drafting and revision of contracts, memoranda of understanding, and other legal instruments.
Provide administrative support for the preparation of reports and briefings for senior staff.

Required profile

Legal education or equivalent professional background.
Familiarity with Lebanese legal framework, especially in governance and anti‑corruption areas.
Ability to work on a short‑term, intensive schedule (total of 17 working days).

Required skills

Legal research and document drafting.
