About the role
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Lebanon is seeking a Legal Assistant on a short‑term consultancy basis. The assignment will support the legal aspects of UNDP’s work in strengthening governance and anti‑corruption reforms during a critical period for the country.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the legal team in reviewing and preparing documents related to anti‑corruption initiatives.
- Conduct legal research on Lebanese legislation pertinent to public procurement, asset declaration, and whistle‑blower protection.
- Support the drafting and revision of contracts, memoranda of understanding, and other legal instruments.
- Provide administrative support for the preparation of reports and briefings for senior staff.
Required profile
- Legal education or equivalent professional background.
- Familiarity with Lebanese legal framework, especially in governance and anti‑corruption areas.
- Ability to work on a short‑term, intensive schedule (total of 17 working days).
Required skills
- Legal research and document drafting.
