External Audit Manager – Financial Institutions

About the role

We are seeking an experienced External Audit Manager to lead audit engagements for financial institutions in Lebanon. The role involves overseeing audit planning, execution, and reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best‑practice methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain audit procedures that reflect industry best practices and address identified risk areas.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to pinpoint potential financial losses due to fraud or asset mismanagement.
• Review financial statements, records and supporting documentation to verify compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial projections to support strategic planning.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as lawyers, accountants, auditors, lenders, investors and regulators.

Required profile

• Strong finance‑based analytical capabilities.
• Minimum 8 years of external audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
• Professional certifications such as CPA and/or CIA are highly desirable.

Required skills

• CPA certification (preferred).
• CIA certification (preferred).
