Category Manager

About the role

The Category Manager will be based on‑site in Baabda, overseeing assigned product categories to drive sales, profitability and customer satisfaction for a growing supermarket chain.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze category performance and market trends.
• Develop assortment, pricing and promotional strategies in collaboration with Marketing and Store Operations.
• Coordinate promotional activities and support the overall commercial strategy.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and commercial terms.
• Oversee procurement plans to ensure product availability, quality and cost efficiency.
• Monitor competitor activity and customer preferences to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong category management, assortment planning and pricing strategy skills.
• Solid analytical ability to interpret sales data, margins and market trends.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Strong procurement and inventory management capabilities.
• Demonstrated retail commercial acumen and ability to drive category performance.
• Relevant experience in supermarket, FMCG or retail environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical/reporting tools.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Baabda and adapt to a dynamic market.
• Commitment to ethical, customer‑focused and commercially driven practices.
