Bookseller – Retail Bookstore

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Bookseller to join our Tripoli bookstore team. You will greet customers, help them discover books, and contribute to achieving sales targets while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, provide assistance, and recommend books based on their interests.
• Handle special orders, returns, exchanges, and resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Maintain tidy, well‑organized displays and ensure books are correctly priced and shelved.
• Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, and support inventory management tasks.
• Operate the cash register and process cash and card transactions accurately.
• Use the ticketing system to track events, promotions, and sales performance.
• Apply upselling and cross‑selling techniques to meet branch sales targets.
• Participate in visual merchandising, promotional events, and social‑media highlighted displays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Literature, Documentation or a related field.
• 0‑5 years of retail or customer‑service experience, preferably in a bookstore.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work weekends or holidays as needed.
