Technical Sales Support Engineer – Flexible Packaging

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Sales Support Engineer specialized in flexible packaging to act as the bridge between our sales team, customers, and production floor. You will provide expert technical guidance on custom pouches and rollstock, helping close deals and ensure manufacturability.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for sales representatives, answering complex questions about custom pouches (stand‑up, lay‑flat, spouted) and rollstock.
• Analyze customer product requirements such as shelf‑life, barrier needs, and equipment compatibility to recommend optimal film structures.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production to guarantee that sold solutions can be manufactured flawlessly.
• Troubleshoot technical inquiries and runnability issues on client packaging lines.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on knowledge of flexible packaging materials, laminations, co‑extrusions, and converting processes.
• Strong understanding of barrier properties (OTR, WVTR), sealant layers, and film interactions with filling machines.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for sales teams and clients.
• Data‑driven problem‑solver mindset.
