Technical Manager – Lead Technical Operations

About the role

The Technical Manager leads the Technical Department, ensuring all units operate to established standards and deliver optimal results. Reporting to the Head of Technical, this role oversees in‑house teams, external contractors, and service providers to maintain high service levels for building systems and tenant satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all technical operations, including plant rooms, monitoring, daily patrols, and both corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Review and update Service Level Agreements annually, adjusting for system aging, occupancy changes, and tenant feedback.
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly action plans and reports under the Head of Technical’s guidance.
• Establish maintenance intervals, criticality levels, contingency plans, and redundancy measures.
• Lead a team of technicians, skilled laborers, and contractors, assigning duties, preparing task lists, and conducting weekly coordination meetings.
• Maintain historical records of technical work, produce detailed scope drawings, and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Evaluate team performance, provide coaching, and manage manpower costs and productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing technical or facilities teams, preferably in a multi‑site environment.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work effectively.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
