SEO Account Manager – $36k‑$48k USD/year

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑obsessed, client‑facing SEO Account Manager to lead local SEO campaigns for home‑service businesses across the US and Canada. You will own strategy, guide web design, and act as the primary point of contact to drive qualified leads and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Own SEO strategy for 20–28 local service clients (plumbers, electricians, roofers, etc.).
• Onboard new clients, set expectations and define lead‑generation goals.
• Direct web design and CRO for WordPress + Elementor sites, collaborating with developers, designers, and copywriters.
• Execute local SEO tactics: Google Business Profile optimization, on‑page work, internal linking, content briefs, and local link‑building.
• Use Ahrefs, Local Dominator, Nightwatch, Google Search Console, GA4 and internal tools to monitor performance and uncover growth opportunities.
• Conduct monthly strategy calls and weekly update emails summarising actions, changes, and next steps.
• Follow established SOPs while suggesting improvements and communicate efficiently with the fulfillment team via Slack and internal platforms.

Required profile

• 2–4+ years of hands‑on SEO experience, including local SEO for service businesses.
• Strong experience with WordPress and Elementor; able to brief developers and make basic edits.
• Comfortable using Ahrefs, Google Search Console and GA4 on a weekly basis.
• Understanding of Google Business Profile optimization, citations and local link acquisition.
• Near‑native English speaking and writing skills; able to lead client calls and explain technical concepts simply.
• Excellent attention to detail, capable of managing multiple accounts without dropping the ball.
• Reliable, responsive during North American business hours and comfortable working fast within clear SOPs.
