Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

SYDEN is seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high‑profile hospitality, mixed‑use, commercial and high‑rise building projects across Lebanon. The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on design work, ensuring that HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection systems meet client expectations and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection systems from concept through construction.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, specifications and detailed drawings.
• Coordinate with architectural and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Review and validate technical submissions, shop drawings and material approvals.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international codes and project requirements.
• Support project delivery timelines and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in mechanical design for building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection system design.
• Excellent technical, coordination and communication skills.

Required skills

• AutoCAD.
• Mechanical design software (e.g., Revit MEP, SolidWorks).
• HVAC design.
• Plumbing design.
• Fire‑protection design.
