Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate will be the front‑line representative of our furniture showroom in Mkalles. You will greet visitors, understand their interior design needs, and guide them through our product range to close sales while delivering a high‑standard customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers on the sales floor and manage their service journey.
• Present, promote and sell furniture and related services using persuasive arguments.
• Follow up with customers after visits and maintain long‑term relationships.
• Ensure the showroom meets visual and operational standards, completing daily checklists.
• Assist with seasonal inventories, pricing, and ordering missing items.
• Implement window and interior displays as directed by Visual Merchandising.
• Advise customers on furniture size, style, colour, fabric and wood to complement their homes.
• Take measurements on‑site and discuss sizing options with clients.
• Unroll and display curtains, carpets and fabric assortments.
• Close deals, coordinate deliveries, and inspect items before hand‑over.
• Report customer feedback, market trends and potential new products to management.

Required profile

• Background in interior design.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar sales or retail role.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven selling, negotiation and target‑achievement abilities.
• Excellent time‑management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
• Ability to build immediate credibility with customers.
• High standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on meeting sales targets.
• Good knowledge of the furniture industry.
