Refinish Technician (Flat Rate)

About the role

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a skilled Refinish Technician to deliver high‑quality paint and refinishing work on customer vehicles. You will work in a fast‑paced paint shop, ensuring each repair meets the company’s standards for speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming body work for completeness and quality before painting.
• Mix paint, perform precise color matching, and apply refinishing coats to restore vehicles to pre‑accident condition.
• Follow work orders to complete all refinishing steps accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain paint material inventory and ensure proper use of safety equipment, including PAPR systems.
• Participate in daily production meetings and collaborate with teammates to meet production schedules.
• Dispose of hazardous waste according to regulations and perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 2‑5+ years of collision repair experience.
• Demonstrated ability to complete all refinishing steps with high quality.
• Strong focus on detail and ability to work at a high production rate.
• Commitment to safety and proper use of protective equipment.

Required skills

• Paint mixing and color matching.
• Vehicle refinishing techniques.
• I‑CAR certification (preferred).
• ASE certification (preferred).
