About the role
The Quality Control Analyst ensures that all raw materials and paint products meet required quality standards before they enter production. Working in a laboratory environment, the analyst performs both qualitative and quantitative testing, supports product development, and assists in resolving customer quality claims.
Key responsibilities
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of paint samples using chemical reactions and instrumentation techniques.
- Test raw materials to verify quality prior to production using approved methods.
- Communicate test results to the Lab Manager and replace the Quality Control Technician when needed.
- Assist in developing existing and new paint formulas, solvents, and alternative raw‑material solutions.
- Support product improvement projects to meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Analyze customer service claims, determine corrective actions, and respond within required timeframes.
- Follow SOPs, calibrate, maintain, and clean laboratory instruments.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and proper chemical storage.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in paints, coatings, or chemical manufacturing.
- Proven experience working in a laboratory environment.
Required skills
- Qualitative analysis of chemical samples.
- Quantitative analysis using instrumentation.
- Instrument calibration and maintenance.
- Chemical testing procedures.
