Payments Consultant

About the role

Responsible for documenting, modeling, reviewing and editing customers’ requirements and business processes, executing test plans, delivering training, and participating in the implementation and support of banking solutions, with a focus on the payments area (cards, transfers, checks, cash, etc.).

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the analysis and design of customers’ business requirements.
• Identify, document and report banking product deficiencies or enhancements.
• Enforce project deadlines and schedules.
• Conduct customer and internal training sessions on the banking solution’s functionalities.
• Prepare periodic progress reports in coordination with the Project or Department Manager.
• Provide pre‑sales support and product demonstrations.
• Assist the support team when needed and ensure timely delivery of client requirements.

Required profile

• BS degree in Business Computer or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the payments industry.
• Fluent in Arabic, English and French.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer focus and communication skills.
• High level of commitment, credibility and teamwork spirit.

Required skills

• Core payments message formats such as SEPA and ISO 20022.
• Payment cards processes (issuing, acquiring) and related ISO interfaces.
• Alternative payment methods and innovations, including e‑commerce and blockchain.
• Open‑banking and API‑based ecosystems with embedded payment offerings.
• Business requirements gathering and process design in the payments domain.
• In‑depth knowledge of payment channels (SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS, ACH, check management).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
