Accountant – Retail, Food & Beverage, Inventory

About the role

Ajialouna is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of its retail, food & beverage, inventory and rental activities. The role involves daily transaction recording, reporting and ensuring compliance with tax and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, inventory, and COGS.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile cash, petty cash, POS and bank accounts.
• Oversee rental‑space invoicing, collections, deposits and building operating expenses such as utilities, maintenance, cleaning and security.
• Perform regular inventory counts, reconciliations and monitor showroom finished‑goods sales.
• Prepare monthly financial and profitability reports for each activity and monitor budget versus actual expenses.
• Ensure proper documentation, internal controls and assist with tax/VAT, audit and year‑end closing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, food & beverage, inventory or rentals.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software/ERP.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Inventory accounting expertise.
• Bank/cash reconciliation proficiency.
