Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering accurate, code‑compliant electrical designs for construction projects. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will translate project specifications into detailed design models, calculations and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret project specifications and identify applicable codes and standards.
• Develop design models, perform calculations and produce clear calculation notes.
• Create detailed electrical designs and as‑built drawings using Revit and CAD tools.
• Prepare material take‑offs ensuring quantities stay within project budgets.
• Support the preparation of Operations & Maintenance manuals and assist in QA/QC reviews of designs.
• Coordinate with internal departments, attend meetings and provide technical assistance.
• Guide junior engineers and CAD operators, and deliver internal technical presentations.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering degree (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 3–6 years of experience in the contracting/construction sector.
• Proficiency in design and analysis, with strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic and French are a plus).
• Ability to plan, organize and present technical information effectively.
