Category Manager

About the role

Toters is seeking a Category Manager to lead supplier relationships and drive profitability for its on‑demand e‑commerce and delivery platform. The role will focus on negotiating contracts, analysing market trends and developing long‑term strategies for product categories across the Middle East market.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the lead point of contact for all suppliers, negotiate new contracts and extract upfront and back‑end margins.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting supplier relationships based on trust and respect.
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
• Analyze data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
• Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to upper management.
• Devise long‑term development strategies for product categories.
• Foster trust relationships with suppliers to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
• Prepare reports on the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
• Communicate with suppliers to understand their needs and explain product value.
• Collect and analyze data on consumer behavior and propose ideas to increase revenue.
• Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by improving processes.
• Liaise with the marketing coordinator to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Proven work experience as a Category Manager or similar role.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• FMCG experience is preferred.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a relevant field.
