Academic Coordinator

About the role

The Academic Coordinator will oversee the academic operations of a branch within CIS Group, a leading vocational and technical education institution in Lebanon. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will ensure that curricula, teaching schedules, and student assessments are aligned with the institution’s standards and calendar.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with parents to explain academic structures and procedures.
• Collaborate with instructors to develop annual teaching plans and distribute syllabi.
• Monitor lesson delivery, instructor schedules, and teaching standards, taking corrective action when needed.
• Review and sign daily class logs for administrative auditing.
• Track student performance through regular assessments and prepare quarterly and annual performance reports.
• Organize exam preparation, distribution, correction, and cross‑branch exam exchanges.
• Validate student grades, address academic weaknesses, and manage discipline in coordination with supervisors.
• Ensure lab equipment adequacy for technical subjects such as hospitality, automotive mechanics, and IT.
• Evaluate instructor quality, recommend replacements, and act as Branch Manager in their absence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Management or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 3 years experience in academic coordination, teaching or school management.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation, student evaluation and educational planning.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational abilities.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with educational software; experience with the Olive system is a plus.
