Unit Sales Manager – Life

About the role

The Unit Sales Manager – Life is responsible for developing, retaining and expanding the life insurance sales distribution channel. This role leads a dedicated sales team, ensuring that annual sales targets and strategic objectives are met in line with the company’s budget and business plan.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the sales department’s performance against pre‑set KPIs and recommend corrective actions to achieve annual targets.
• Oversee customer service, complaints and claims handling to meet regulatory timeframes.
• Implement and improve department policies and procedures for the sales distribution channel.
• Recruit, set objectives, monitor performance and design incentive plans for the sales team.
• Identify training needs, provide coaching and conduct field visits to strengthen client relationships.
• Develop a yearly business plan with targets and strategies for the unit.
• Analyze market trends and competitive data to tailor team strategies.
• Introduce innovative methods to boost sales, expand market reach and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct meetings with strategic customers to maintain strong relationships.
• Compile and analyze sales figures and prepare timely management reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• CII Diploma/Certificate is a plus.
• Proven successful sales track record.
• Experience in management.
