Sous Chef & Junior Sous Chef

About the role

We are launching an exciting new restaurant in Beirut and are looking for an experienced Sous Chef and a Junior Sous Chef to join the opening team. The successful candidates will lead the kitchen, ensure exceptional food quality and contribute to a memorable guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
• Lead, train and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow in a high‑volume environment.
• Manage food cost, stock control, ordering and inventory to optimise profitability.
• Develop and execute seasonal Italian and Mediterranean menus using premium ingredients.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and health regulations.
• Collaborate with the management team on menu planning and service execution.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in reputable high‑end restaurants or hospitality groups.
• Strong background in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
• Proven ability to work under pressure in busy, high‑volume dining settings.
• Leadership skills with a hands‑on approach and attention to detail.
• Experience with opening new restaurant concepts is a plus.
