About the role
IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a (Senior) Analyst – Acute Needs Analysis to join its Beirut team. The role will produce a concise, decision‑oriented analytical brief that summarises acute humanitarian needs across Lebanon, supporting humanitarian prioritisation and donor allocation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation and delivery of the acute needs analytical product at country level.
- Coordinate with IMPACT’s HQ programme team to align timelines and adhere to analytical standards.
- Map and engage stakeholders and collaborators in Lebanon to enrich contextual understanding.
- Collect, synthesize and assess secondary data from REACH assessments, UN agencies, INGOs and public datasets (e.g., OCHA, FEWS NET, IPC).
- Evaluate data reliability, identify gaps and support evidence‑based decision making.
- Work with GIS, data and design colleagues to integrate visual elements into the final brief.
Required profile
- Proven experience in humanitarian data analysis and acute needs assessment.
- Strong understanding of the humanitarian programming cycle and donor resource allocation processes.
- Ability to produce concise, high‑impact analytical reports for external audiences.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Required skills
- Data collection, synthesis and validation.
- Familiarity with humanitarian data sources such as OCHA, FEWS NET and IPC.
- Experience working with GIS and visualisation tools.
