Data Security & Compliance Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Data Security & Compliance Team Lead to design, implement and optimise data security, classification, retention and governance solutions for customers across the MEA region. The role will focus on Microsoft Purview and related technologies, guiding a small team while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy data security solutions using Microsoft Purview, DLP, Insider Risk Management and CASB.
• Develop data classification, labeling and retention policies aligned with GDPR, NCA and ISO 27001.
• Implement and manage AIP on‑premises scanner and integrate CASB with firewalls.
• Lead configuration of Microsoft Priva, Data Map and Data Security Posture Management initiatives.
• Automate policy deployment and security configurations via PowerShell, APIs and Microsoft Security & Compliance tools.
• Deploy MDM, MAM and Conditional Access policies to close security gaps.
• Produce High‑Level and Low‑Level Designs, oversee project scoping, delivery and post‑deployment support.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in data security, with at least 2 years hands‑on Microsoft Purview.
• Proven ability to lead a small team and manage end‑to‑end security projects.
• Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.).
