Security Manager – Beirut, Lebanon

About the role

The Security Manager will join the Country Senior Management Team and lead security management for Relief International’s operations in Lebanon. The role focuses on ensuring safe program implementation, maintaining humanitarian access, and building constructive relationships with Lebanese authorities and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a comprehensive weekly security report and ad‑hoc updates for the Country Director and Global Security Team.
• Monitor formal and informal information sources to provide timely security and access advice.
• Manage relationships with authorities, INGOs/NGOs, UN agencies, local partners and other stakeholders.
• Act as the primary focal point for security incidents and emergency services.
• Represent Relief International in security forums, liaison working groups and official meetings.
• Ensure field teams conduct principled negotiations adhering to humanitarian principles and duty of care.
• Facilitate communication between departments to streamline access‑related processes.
• Coordinate with IT, HR and other units to maintain a secure operational environment.
• Develop and maintain the Country Security Plan, local security plans, SOPs, travel briefings and contingency plans.
• Conduct and update Security Risk Assessments (SRAs) in coordination with the Global Security Team.
