SAP Payroll Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Payroll Consultant to join a leading consulting, technology and outsourcing services organisation. The role is fully remote and involves designing, configuring and implementing SAP Payroll solutions for international clients while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into SAP Payroll system solutions.
• Support and manage end‑to‑end payroll processes, including pre‑ and post‑payroll activities, statutory reporting and retroactive accounting.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll data flow and legal compliance.
• Develop and execute test plans, conduct UAT and support go‑live activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll‑related issues promptly.
• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
• Work with ABAP developers, integration teams and external providers such as banks and tax authorities.
• Provide training, documentation and ongoing support to payroll system users.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Human Resources or a related field.
• Proven experience working with SAP Payroll solutions.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to prepare and interpret functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams.
