Sales Representative – Food Products (West Africa)

About the role
We are looking for an energetic Sales Representative to promote our food and cosmetics product range across West Africa. You will be responsible for building a robust distribution network, generating new business, and maintaining strong relationships with retailers, pharmacies, beauty salons and wholesalers.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, target and acquire new retailers, pharmacies, beauty shops, salons, spas and wholesalers.
- Develop and expand the distribution network in line with the company’s sales strategy.
- Conduct regular field visits to generate leads, present products, negotiate pricing and close sales.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain up‑to‑date customer records, visit reports and sales performance dashboards.
- Provide product demonstrations and training to retailers or beauty advisors.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions and new product launches.
- Report market trends, consumer behaviour and growth opportunities to the sales manager.
- Coordinate with logistics for timely deliveries and follow up on payments and credit limits.
- Assist in setting up promotional displays, campaigns and sampling activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of outdoor sales experience in FMCG.
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation abilities.
- Deep knowledge of local market and distribution channels.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
- Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
