Sales Manager – FMCG (Ivory Coast)

About the role
The company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow its Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business in Côte d’Ivoire. The role will drive sales performance, manage key accounts, expand distribution, and ensure strong market execution across modern and traditional trade channels.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the sales strategy for Côte d’Ivoire.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Manage and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
- Expand product availability and visibility across all sales channels.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer behavior.
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to improve performance.
- Ensure proper execution of trade promotions and in‑store activities.
- Collaborate with marketing and brand teams to support product launches and campaigns.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Control receivables, customer credit limits, and collection follow‑up.
- Identify new business opportunities and recommend growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structure, and commercial guidelines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector.
- Previous experience in Côte d’Ivoire or West Africa is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution, retail channels, and trade marketing.
- Proven ability to manage distributors and sales teams.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Fluent in French; English is an advantage.
- Strong reporting and Microsoft Office skills.
