Retreat Facilitator Consultant (One-Day Team Retreat)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an experienced consultant to design and facilitate a one‑day, in‑person team retreat for a group of 18‑20 staff members in Beirut. The retreat aims to strengthen leadership capabilities, boost self‑awareness, and improve collaboration within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Section Chief to understand the team’s context, objectives and desired outcomes.
• Design a tailored, interactive agenda that integrates leadership development, personality assessment, team effectiveness and public‑speaking components.
• Utilise an evidence‑based personality or leadership assessment tool (e.g., MBTI or equivalent) to help participants explore different leadership styles.
• Facilitate practical exercises, group discussions, reflection activities and experiential learning sessions.
• Deliver a dedicated session on public speaking, focusing on confidence, presentation skills and audience engagement.
• Provide post‑retreat recommendations to sustain learning and improve team cohesion.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering leadership or team‑building workshops.
• Strong facilitation skills with ability to engage adult learners.
• Familiarity with personality/leadership assessment frameworks such as MBTI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
