Renewals Specialist

About the role

The Renewals Specialist supports the renewal of software maintenance and subscription contracts. Working closely with customers, channel partners and internal teams, the role ensures timely renewals, maximises customer retention and safeguards recurring revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor upcoming support expiration dates and proactively engage customers and channel partners about renewals.
• Prepare and share renewal quotations in line with vendor policies, typically 90 days before expiry.
• Follow up with customers to identify and resolve renewal‑related issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders to close renewals on time.
• Collaborate with distributors and resellers to track renewal progress, flag risks and ensure timely closures.
• Maintain accurate renewal opportunities in the CRM system, including details, status, expected close dates and forecast information.
• Produce a rolling 120‑day renewal forecast and submit weekly reports highlighting expected revenue and high‑risk opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with vendor licensing policies and internal business processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in sales support, inside sales, renewals or commercial operations.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM/ERP systems, preferably Salesforce.
